【摘要】:Someelectricalproperties,suchasdielectricstrength,varywiththethicknessofthematerial.Determinationofcertainproperties,suchasrelativepermittivity(dielectricconstant)andvolumeresistivity,usuallyrequireaknowledgeofthethickness.Designandconstructionofelectricalmachineryrequirethatthethicknessofinsulationbeknown.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofthethicknessofseveraltypesofsolidelectricalinsulatingmaterialsemployingrecommendedtechniques.Usethesetestmethodsexceptasotherwiserequiredbyamaterialspecification.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsarethestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
