【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversplasticcompoundscomposedofpoly(vinylchloride),chlorinatedpoly(vinylchloride),orvinylchloridecopolymers,andthenecessarycompoundingingredientsintendedforuseinmakingpipe,fittings,andotherpipingappurtenances.Thecompoundingingredientsmayconsistoflubricants,stabilizers,non-poly(vinylchloride)resinmodifiers,pigments,andinorganicfillers.1.2Thisspecificationisdesignedtocovercompoundsforpressurepipingapplications.RefertoSpecificationD4396forcompoundsdesignedfornon-pressureapplications.1.3RigidPVC-typecompoundsforbuildingapplicationsotherthanpipingarecoveredinSpecificationD4216.1.4RigidPVC-typecompoundsforgeneralpurposeextrusionandmoldingusearecoveredinSpecificationD1784.SpecificationD1784isapplicabletopipingapplicationsinvolvingspecialchemicalandacidresistance.1.5Therequirementsinthisspecificationareintendedforthequalitycontrolofcompoundsusedtomanufacturepipeandfittings.Theyarenotapplicabletofinishedpipeandfittings.SeetheapplicableASTMstandardsforrequirementsforfinishedproducts.1.6Itmaybenecessaryinspecialcasestoselectspecificcompoundsforunusualpipingapplicationsthatrequireconsiderationofotherpropertiesnotcoveredinthisspecification,suchasservicetemperature,sagresistance,chemicalresistance,weatherresistance,bendingforces,etc.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodssection,Section11,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1TherearenoISOstandardscoveringtheprimarysubjectmatterofthisspecification.1.7Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisspecification.1.8Recycledplasticsshallnotbeusedinpipeandfittingsforpressureapplications.
