【摘要】:1-1.1*Thisstandardshallspecifyminimumdesign,performance,certification,anddocumentationrequirements;testmethodsforliquidsplash-protectiveensemblesandliquidsplash-protectiveclothing;andadditionaloptionalcriteriaforchemicalflashfireprotection.1-1.2Thisstandardshallapplytothedesign,manufacturing,andcertificationofnewliquidsplash-protectiveensemblesornewliquidsplash-protectiveclothingitems.Thiseditionofthisstandardshallnotapplytoliquidsplash-protectiveensemblesorliquidsplash-protectiveclothingitemsmanufacturedtopreviouseditionsofNFPA1992,StandardonLiquidSplash-ProtectiveSuitsforHazardousChemicalEmergencies(formertitle).1-1.3Thisstandardshallnotapplytoprotectionfromchemicalorbiologicalwarfareagentsorfromchemicalorbiologicalterrorismincidents.Suchprotectionshallbeprovidedbyvapor-protectiveensemblesthatarealsocompliantwiththeadditionaloptionalcriteriaforchemicalandbiologicalterrorismvapor-protectiveensemblesasspecifiedinNFPA1991,StandardonVapor-ProtectiveEnsemblesforHazardousMaterialsEmergencies.1-1.4*Thisstandardshallnotapplytoprotectiveensemblesorclothingforhazardousmaterialsemergenciesinvolvingknownorsuspectedcarcinogens,hazardousmaterialswithknownskintoxicity,orhazardousmaterialvaporatmospheres.1-1.5Thisstandardshallnotapplytoprotectiveensemblesorclothingforanyfire-fightingapplicationsandshallnotprovidecriteriaforprotectionfromradiological,biological,liquefiedgas,orcryogenicliquidhazards,oragainstexplosivevaporatmospheres.1-1.6Thisstandardshallnotapplytotherespiratoryprotectionthatisnecessaryforproperprotectionwiththeprotectiveensembleorclothing.1-1.7Thisstandardshallnotapplytouserequirementsforliquidsplash-protectiveclothingorprotectiveensemblesastheserequirementsarespecifiedinNFPA1500,StandardonFireDepartmentOccupationalSafetyandHealthProgram.1-1.8Certificationoftheliquidsplash-protectiveensemblesandliquidsplash-protectiveensembleclothingitemsascompliantwiththerequirementsofthisstandardshallnotprecludecertificationtoadditionalappropriatestandardswheretheprotectiveclothingmeetsalltheapplicablerequirementsofeachstandard.1-1.9Therequirementsofthisstandardshallnotapplytoaccessoriesthatmightbeattachedtoanyelementoftheliquidsplash-protectiveensemble,orindividualliquidsplash-protectiveclothingitems,unlessspecificallyaddressedherein.1-1.10Nothinghereinshallrestrictanyjurisdictionormanufacturerfromexceedingtheseminimumrequirements.
